MISSION-
ACOPEA 's mission is to promote African Child Online welfare through Education & Awareness.
ACOPEA focuses on education and awareness across Africa and the
provision of mechanisms to report abuse and protect the rights of
citizens in cyberspace.
Essentially Acopea, inline with the ITU COP guidelines and in
collaboration with partnering institutions, provides technical
assistance and advisory services directed at supporting Countries to
develop among others: Educational resources, Hotlines response
mechanisms, share COP knowledge and best practices.
ACOPEA prompts interaction with stakeholders from industry and the education sector through invitations to strategic representatives from these sectors to its training meetings; however, its greatest stakeholder will be “Safer Internet Day”, which is organized via the EU safer internet initiative, INHOPE/INSAFE, an action that multiplies impact and awareness worldwide.
Create awareness, share knowledge and experience in child online protection. (COP).
ACOPEA has developed strong links with other organisations in the field
of internet safety national and trans-national and have formed
partnership with major players in Europe and else where. Acopea utilises
these resources & initiatives.
Acopea Objectives:-

ANPPCAN has robust structures, throughout the continent with national chapters in 26 countries in Africa across through which ANPPCAN can implement child-on-line protection programmes.
ANNPCAN also works with the End of child Protection (ECPIK), currently hosted and mentored by ANPPCAN Regional Office to grow into a full-fledged organisation.
